Principal's Corner

May 18, 2018

Dear Parents and Guardians,

May is a very busy month at Aldene! Students in grades 1 and 2 are walking to the Roselle Park Public Library to meet with the children’s librarian and make sure they have a library card in time for the Summer Reading Program. The spring band and chorus concert is coming up on May 22 and several classes are taking trips this month. Third, fourth and fifth graders are taking PARCC tests and fifth graders will take the New Jersey Science assessment, NJSLA-S. Fifth grade has several fun activities in May including orientation at the middle school and the Council of Ten visit at the end of the month.

We have all been practicing the character education trait of Trust during May and Buddy Classes will be working together to share how they can build trust with one another. In honor of Memorial Day, students will wear Red, White and Blue on May 25!

Please make note of the following important dates:

May 17- Ms. Malone’s class library trip
May 18- Special Olympics at RPHS; Kindergarten trip
